Morning is a cool 62 degrees and sunny.
Tire wear is fair, better than expected. Although, the front seems to be going a bit faster than the rear. Curious.

Tire wear is fair, better than expected. Although, the front seems to be going a bit faster than the rear. Curious.
But with all the interstate riding the tires are starting to square off bit. Maybe a dip down to southern Utah and through Colorado can address that.

Hit the hardest rain so far after a fuel stop in Delco, Idaho
Despite consciously choosing not to go towards Pocatello, hours later the interstate offers me one more chance as I get closer to Salt Lake City. Yes, I'm positive that I don't want to go to Pocatello. Really, Really.
I ride out the rain and the Dynatek Charge Monitor reads low....Since the dash warning isn't on, I press forward.
60 miles later the dash shows a battery/charging warning. A quick stop shows the battery cables are tight. Things are rarely that easy.
Minor surgery with my multimeter leads into a makeshift charging system tester. K1300s stop dead cold at 9.01 volts.
410 Miles stops in Bringham City, UT.
2 hours (after loading the bike up in a massive rainstorm) later the bike and I are outside the dealer. Dealer opens in 6 hours.
30 minutes later I'm dropped off at a hotel booked by roadside assistance that also has no power. Sometimes you outrun the rain, but it finds you anyway.
